HERFORD FUND.

A Mketikg of the subscribers to tlie Herford Fund •was held at the " Masonic Hotel" on Saturdav afterTioon at half-past four o'clock, convened io elect trustees, and to consider tlie best means of investing the funds subscribed. Colonel Mould and Captains Biehatds and Bell ■were appointed trustees. Some considerable discussion then ensued as to the best means of investment, when it was ultimatelv resolved that the money should be lent upon approved mortgage, and that if possible a term of ten years should be obtained.
