NEW ZEALAND VINDICATED.
"We again republish from the S>/d}ic)/ Morning Jlerald an article on the Maori war, which we earnestly recommend to the notice of English readers. The Sydney Herald is the leading journal of the Austrplian colonies. Its calm deliberate judgment expressed oil passing political events relative to the War now existing in New Zealand must carry conviction to any impartial mind. As an unprejudiced looker on, and yet at only sucli a. distance that "wcclcly or "bi-weekly communications keep it accurately posted up as to the real facts of the case, the opinion of the o. M. JTerahl is of the greatest service to New Zealand. Singularly well informed as to the most triyiid details of the war and of New Zealand politics, we can scarcely wonder that the xfcro/d has arrived at the conclusions which it has done, and that it fairly and manfully upholds the character of the colonists, and the justice and necessity of our colonial policy. As we have before said, the people of Auckland and Inronaki more especially, have cause to be grateful for the liberal and unprejudiced views which it maintains on Now Zealand affairs.
