Duuxkards.—John Healey, George Morgan, Charles Wheelwright, Homy Taj lor, John Smith, and Eliaibeth Canning, were fiael for drunkenness.— Canning being an old offender, was ordered to be imprisoned for nine days. Assault.—Alice Chamberlain, charged with an aggravated assault upon Margaret Staiusbury, was remanded until the following day. Chaugs op Embezzlement.—James Williamson, charged with embezzlement, was remanded until Friday.
Deserter.—Andrew Dixon, a deserter from the second battalion of the 18th Regiment, was ordered to be handed over to the main guard. Breach of City Board Acr.—Charge preferred against William Walters for a breach of the Act, " by neglecting to remove an accumulation of dunjj, soil, or filth, or other noxious and offensive matter, from premises occupied by him in Mill's Lane, Auckland, due notice having been served on the 27th inst., was also deterred until the next dav.
