FOOTBALL. WELLINGTON V. AUCKLAND. (BY TELEGRAPH.) Auckland, October 11.

The association football match between teams representing Auckland and Wellington took place on Saturday, at Potter's Ground, Epsom, and resulted in a win for Auckland by 5 goals to nil. About 400 hundred people were present. In the first spell Ewan scored a goal for Auckland, and the remaining goals woro scored in the second spoil, Blair scoring two of thorn, mid Thonian and Smith ono each. Tho Aucklanders played throughout with more dash than their opponents, and passed bother than tho Wellington men, who wanted condition, and woro therefore unable to play a fast game.
