NAPIER SHOW. (BY TELEGRAPH.) Napier, October 9.
Tlio Agricultural and Pastoral SuciotyV> Show to-d.iy was by far the most successful over hold in Hawke's Bay. Over 3000 spectators were present. Soinnus took tho championship for thoroughbred sires, iwk! British King die same honor in the draught classes. The show of thoroughbreds was poor, but of draught, stock excellent. Shorthorn cattle were present in fair numbers, and tho quality was magnificent. The champion bull was a youngster, bred by Mr Reid, of Eldorshe, and tho cow by the Rev. S, Williams. Tho other cattlo were vory poor. Fat cattlo wore a marked feature of the show, 13 magnificent lines of twos and throes being shown. P'ga were few, Mr J. D. Ormond taking tho chief prizos. Poultry were of good quality, but not numerous. Tho exhibits of machinory, buggies, etc., wore very largo, but no prizes woro awarded in these classes this year.
