TIMARU. April 17.

A rery brilliant, Aurora Australia is visible horo to-night. At ft meeting of the loan committee of the Harbor Board to-day, Mr Hoare, representative of a large English financial firm, was present, and was conferred with in regard to the raining of aIAOO.OOO loan to complete the breakwater. The committee decided to tak« the nocp^sary steps to float the loan. It la probable the breakwater will be extended another 500 feat seaward from the ond of the present 400 feet contract, making in all about 2000 feet straight out, before a turn ii made.
