AWANUI VERSUS VICTORIA VALLEY

On Thursday evening the Awanui Club received a visit from the Victoria j Valley Rifle Culb, and a very enjoyable evening resulted. In the “A” team match Awanui won with an aggregate of 386 points to Victoria | Valley’s 356. In the “B” team’s ! match Awanui put on 359 points to i Victoria Valley’s 259, the latter team ! ; having to substitute for members unable to attend. Mr. Switzer, Awanui Club Captain, thanked the visitors for the visit, and their part in a very enjoyable evening. Mr. J. Dawson in responding said that the Valley hoped to turn the tables on Awanui on the occasion of their return visit, and specially mentioned the excellent score put on by W. R. Craig with 49 out of a possible 50, also assuring the Awanui Team that they had thoroughly enjoyed the outing.
