TE PUHI INSTITUTE MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Te Puhi Women’s Institute was held last Thui-sday, Mi-s. Ti-acey presiding over a fair attendance of members. Lunch was served by the members. Miss Wallace gave a demonstration on fancy paper folding. Something for nothing was won by Mrs. A. Edvards. The winner of the shield for the month was Miss Wallace. The competitions for the month were : Tea towel from flour bag Misses Wallace and V. Buckingham 1, Mesdames W. Dawson, A. Edwards, E. Buckingham 2 ; Best ripe apple—Miss Wallace 1, Mrs. W. Dawson 2 ; Perfect bloom—Mesdames D. Tiacey 1, A. Tracey and E. Buckingham 2. The singing 0 f the Naional Anthem brought the meeting to a close.
