Support For Racing Club
It will be remembered that the officials of the Waipapakauri Racing Club were sued by the Government for the amount of the taxation owed by the Club and not paid. After negotiation the amount was reduced to £9O and strenuous efforts are being made by the Club committee, to raise this amount by the 20th of this month, when it has to he paid. Up to the present, the amount raised by the individual members is £75, being about £ls short of the total required. On Mr. Langley, of the Northland Talkies, being approached by the Club for a Benefit-night, he immediately agreed and is putting oil a special picture on Wednesday night, December 20th., half the nett proceeds of which will be donated to the Club. The public are requested to respond generously and make it a bumper house for next Wednesday.
