EVERY MEDITERRANEAN PORT NOW OPEN
London, June 6. Every port in the Mediterranean is now open to shipping, reports the Exchange Telegraph Agency Rome correspondent. Thick minefields remain the Adriatic, Gulf of Genoa and negean Sea through which channels have been swept and buoyed. The final clearance of magnetic, acoustic and moored mines is not expected for several months. Only 6000 of 55,000 laid in the central Mediterranean alone have so far been located.
