FAIR TO CLOUDY Wellington, This Day. Situation: An anti-cyclone is moving cast from the Dominion. A depression is over the south-wes-tern Tasman. Forecast to 5 p.m. Wednesday: Moderate variable winds with north-easterlies later predominating and freshening. Weather fair to cloudy, temperatures cool at night and moderate in the day. Further outlook: Cloudy conditions with some rain developing in the west. A mild, calm day was experienced in Nelson to-day, although the skies were overcast The night was fairly cool, the minimum reading at the Cawthron Institute being 39.2 degrees. Yesterday’s bright sunshine totalled 10 hours 7 minutes.
