RUSHED BY A BULL

FARMER ESCAPES LIGHTLY Mr R. W. Armstrong, farmer, of Mt. Heslington road, Brightwater. had a narrow escape from serious injury last Wednesday when he was rushed by a bull. The animal was to have been taken to the Freezing Works for boiling-down, but had not been. He was chained to a fence and Mr Armstrong was putting a piece of wire through the chain when the bull rushed him Fortunately, when he came to the end of the chain, he had to stop, but his horn seemed to have caught and torn Mr Armstrong's right hand, necessitating a trip to the doctor and two stitches. The bull has not yet gone to the boiling-down works.
