PUBLIC SERVICE SALARIES

PROFESSIONAL AND CLERICAL DIVISIONS A new Public Service Salary Order is now in operation. It deals with the salaries of officers in the Professional and Clerical Divisions. There is a classification schedule containing s?x ordinary and three "special” grades with a table of salaries within the grades based on years of service. The lowest salary shown is £BO a year. This goes to £205 in the sixth year. At that stage there is an efficiency bar and another at £305. in the tenth year of service. From Grade VI. to Grade I. the salary scale rises to a maximum of £615. The highest salary pa3'able in “Special A” is £765 a year.
