FATAL ELECTRIC SHOCK

Auckland, April 6. As the result of an electric shock, William Paul Flynn, aged 18, of Ellerslie, was killed at an engineering works in ’ Stanley street early this morning. Flynn, who was an engineering apprentice to George Fraser and Sons, was on night shift with the foreman of the works. At 3.30 a.m. he went to another part of the shop to get a steel ulate. using an electric light extension to look for the plate. He apparently slipped, falling against a planing machine and breaking the electric light bulb, as a result of which his hand came in contact with live wires and he suffered a fatal shock. Later he was missed bv the foreman, who searched, but failect to find him until daylight.
