MR W. M. HUGHES
EXPELLED FROM U.A. PARTY Melbourne, April 14. For hav.ing disobeyed the order of his party by rejoining the Advisory War Council, th t deputy-leader of the Federal Parliamentary Opposition, Mr W. M. Hughes, was to-day expelled from the United Australia Party. Mr Hughes withdrew from the Advisory War Council on 18th February together with the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Menzies, i.i accordance with the decision of the Parliamentary U.A.P. Mr Spender, the only other U.A.P. councillor, did not resign and in consequence was crpelled Lorn the Party.
