The “Sun’s” Ottawa correspondent | says the American and Canadian offi- ; cials are conferring preliminary to i establishing a series of airfields through the centre of British Columbia | to link Alaska and the State of Washj ington. They will be spaced each 200 miles, with key points at Prince George, White Horse and Fairbanks. He added that the airfields must be linked by roads, hence the British Columbia-Alaska highway will be a j reality in a few years. He said that ; the commander of the United States Air Force, General Arnold, inspected i the proposed route recently.
