FROM AUSTRALIAN WHEAT BOARD MINISTRY OF FOOD’S ANNOUNCEMENT [U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] (Received 12th January, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, 11th January. The Ministry of Food announces that it has reached an agreement with the Australian Wheat Board for the purchase of 1,650,000 tons of wheat flour. Shipping arrangements are in hand and loading has begun. OFFER ACCEPTED (Received 12th January, 11.30 a.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day.’ The Minister of Commerce, Senator McLeay, announced that the British Government had accepted the Australian Wheat Board’s offer for the purchase of 56,000,000 bushels of wheat and 150,000 tons of flour.
