The liner was scheduled to leave Sydney at 5 o clock on Saturday afternoon ; but owing to the delay of the Mel- ; bourne-Sydnev express on account of i heay y floods she did not sail till 5.30. ! 0r the flrst *lO hours after clearing Sydney heads the vessel's progress was : retarded by a strong current. A head swell was experienced for some time, but. in every other respect the passage ■ was good.
