SERVICE CAR LEAVES ROAD

AFTER IMPACT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED lßy Telegraph-Press Association 1 WHANGAREIL. 9th February. One man was seriously injured and a boy hurt when a Paparoa-Whangarei service car left the road and rolled down a forty foot bank. The accident occurred on a narrow stretch of road following an impact with another car. Those injured were: Charles Mills, middle-aged, address yet unknown, head and internal injurncs; E. Levalhant. aged about 14 years, of Moeware, bruises and shock; C. Shoebridgc. driver of the service car, injuries to the [ left arm. In addition there was another adult in the car and five children, all escaping injury. Mills, who was sitting in the front seat, was apparently thrown out. He was conscious when the doctor arrived, but the task of carrying him up the bank to the road was difficult and eight men were required to get him to the ambulance. He was taken to the Whangarci Hospital.
