REINFORCEMENTS FOR EGYPT

A N TI-AIKCR AFT F 011 CI

LONDON. Bth December. The British War Office has cancelled the Christmas leave of the First Antiaircraft Group at Aldershot, and the men have been ordered to leave for Egypt on 6th January. It is understood that the decision followed consultations between the Foreign Office and the General Staff on the need for reinforcements in Egypt, in view of the fact that Italy had sent reinforcements to Libya, which adjoins Egypt. The men have been granted embarkation leave in lieu of Christmas leave.
