M. Papanin, of the Soviet Aerial Polar Expedition, who is a candidate at the forthcoming elections, addressed his electorate by radio from an ice Hoc. His research station, built on floating ice, has drifted more than 400 miles from its original position in four months.
In the Polar winter night aerial communication with die mainland is hazardous, and Papanin may not be able to address bis constitutcnls personally.
