BEAUTIFUL PLUNKET BABY COMPETITION

Attention is drawn to the advertisement in this issue in connection with the beautiful Plunket baby competition, the entries for which close on 16th inst. Although considerable interest is being taken in the various classes for which prizes are offered the committee is desirous of receiving as many entries as possible, to ensure an attractive and interesting exhibition of photos, which will be held in Messrs Trathen and Company’s lounge from 19th to 31st October. Admission will be free, and visitors will be entitled to vote for the baby they consider the most beautiful, per medium of Id votes. The work of numbering, checking, and classifying the photos is now being done, and mothers are advised to send in the photos as early as possible to prevent any disappointment. A small entrance fee of 6d is charged and particulars and entry forms can be obtained at most retail shops, photographers’, and the Plunket rooms. The sole object of the competitions is to raise money to help the Society to carry on its splendid work on behalf of the mothers and babies in the city and district. Mothers in toum and country who have benefitted by the free services of the Plunket nurses, have now an opportunity of showing their appreciation by assisting the committee to raise funds to continue the good work.
