COOK STRAIT AIRWAYS
THIRD MACHINE TESTED ANOTHER ’PLANE ORDERED In order to cope with West Coast traffic, Cook Strait Airways, Ltd., have obtained permission of the Minister of Transport (the Hon. R. Semple) to order another ’plane, and Mr E. H. Thomson, managing director of the company, informed a “Mail” representative to-day that a cabled order had gone forward for a Rapide, similar to the 'plane which has just been assembled at the company’s workshops at Stoke, and which had most successful trial flights yesterday. Everything was found to be in perfect order.
LONG DAY IN WELLINGTON With the longer days, Cook Strait Airways have slightly altered the timetable, giving Nelson residents the opportunity of spending a full day in Wellington. A departure is made from Nelson at 7.45 a m., and the last ’plane from Wellington does not leave there until 5 p.m.
