RESOLUTION THAT the Nelson City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order that the interest and sinking fund on the undermentioned Special Loans, or the respective specified portions thereof, for the year ending the 31st day of March. 1937, after deducting any other moneys which may be available for the payment of such interest and sinking fund be paid out of the District Fund in lieu of collecting the Special Rates or the respective portions thereof, made in respect of such Special Loans, namely: (1) The Electric Light portion of the Electric Light and Antecedent Liability Renewal Loan, 1932; (2) The Gasworks portion of the Electric Light and Antecedent Liability Renewal Loan, 1932; (3) The Abattoir portion of the Electric Light and Antecedent Liability Renewal Loan, 1932; (4) The Water Reticulation Renewal Loan, 1933; (5) The Waterworks Extension Renewal Loan, 1933. AND THAT the respective amounts so paid out of the District Fund as aforesaid be charged against the account to which the said Special Loans or the specified portions thereof respectively relate, that is to say, the Electric Light and Power Account, the Gas Account, the Abattoir Account or the Water Account. RESOLUTION WHEREAS in pursuance of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act. 1932-33. and the Nelson City Loans Conversion Order, 1934, the Nelson City Council has issued new securities in conversion of the existing securities issued in respect of the loans to which the said Order relates and has in pursuance of such Order made and levied a Consolidated Special Rate as security for such new securities; AND WHEREAS the said Nelson City Loans Conversion Order relates (inter alia) to certain loans raised in connection with trading undertakings and other separate accounts of the said Council and it is necessary and expedient that the interest and sinking fund on the new securities issued in conversion of existing securities in respect of the said last mentioned loans be paid out of the District Fund. NOW THEREFORE the Nelson City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order: (1) THAT the amounts set out in the Schedule hereto be paid out of the District Fund and be charged against the Accounts respectively specified in such Schedule, such amounts being the proportion of the interest and sinking fund secured by the said Consolidated Special Rate, which the said last above mentioned new securities respectively bear to the total amount of all new securities issued in pursuance of the said Nelson City Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (after making due allowance for the accumulated sinking funds on the respective loans to which the said order relates). (2) THAT the said payments’out of the District Fund shall be made in lieu of collecting that portion of the said Consolidated Special Rate for the year ending the 31st March, 1937, which is equivalent to the total amount of such payments. NELSON CITY COUNCIL ■vr OTICE is hereby given that pursuant to the provisions of Section 96 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Nelson City Council has by resolution passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 18th day of June, 1936, resolved to make and levy for the year commencing on the first day of April, 1936, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1937, A CONSOLIDATED RATE of three shillings and three pence in the pound on the rateable value (being the annual value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson, such consolidated rate comprising and being in lieu of the following, namely: (a) A General Rate under Section 77 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, of one shilling and nine pence and one-eighth of a penny in the pound. (b) A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate under Section 52 of the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, of five pence and one half penny in the pound. (c) Special Rates (annually recurring) to provide for interest, sinking fund and other charges on the respective special loans set out hereunder: NAME OF. LOAN AND AMOUNT OF RATE IN THE POUND The Antecedent Liability portion of fbe Electric Light and Antecedent Liability Renewal Loan, 1.932, two pence and one farthing.
