WEDDING
HOLDER—SIXTUS The wedding was recently solemnised in Trinity Presbyterian Church, Nelson, of Pearl Rose Sixtus, only daughter of Mr J. F. Sixtus of Canaan, Takaka Hill, and (lie late Mrs Sixtus, and 'William Robert Holder, only son of the late Cantain W. R. Holder, IMF. and Mrs Holder, of Innis, County Clare, Ireland. The Rev. Mr Hay was the officiating minister. The bride who entered the church with her aunt, Mrs F. L. Sixtus to the strains of the wedding march played by Mr Smith, wore a gown of ivory satin with veil and orange blossoms and carried a very beautiful bouquet with streamers. Mrs Sixtus wore a frock of blue silk marocam and bat to match; she also carried a beautiful bouquet. Miss Betty McClareu attended as bridesmaid, wearing a charming frock of salmon pink silk maroca in with a pretty bouquet to match. The bride was also attended to by two pletty little flower girls dressed in pale blue silk marocain with posies to match. They were the Misses Joan and Gwen Grooby. Mr Edgar Sixtus, brother of the bride, acted as best man. A reception was held at the Ritz where a large number of friends and relatives of the bride and groom assembled. The young couple received many presents amongst them being a. dinner service presented by the Howard friends where a very pleasant evening was spent, tho hall being very prettily decorated for the occasion. A supper sot was also presented to the bride from the Trinity Choir, the bride being a member. A pretty tea service and salad set was presented by the employees of Griffin and Sons. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Holder left for Motueka, prior to taking up their residence in Canaan, lakaka Hill.
