I do not propose to call a- conference in Wellington, but I will ask the representatives of the major concerns to meet me. “Some of the proposed amendments are pretty drastic, buTT think they are necessary and that they will bring about that correlation and co-operation of transport services that is so much desired,” Asked whether it was proposed to provide for the co-ordination of coastal dripping services, the Minister said that was not his immediate intention, but if (lie Bill went through unamended it would confer authority on him to bring about that result if it was considered necessary.
