SUNDAY PLAY ON RESERVES TESTED BY CITY COUNCILLOR (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. An attempt was made on Sunday at Victoria Park by C. Bailey, u member of the Auckland City Council to test the validity of the by-law which forbids playing of games in parks or reserves of city on Sundays. He was frustrated by the action of the caretaker of tlie park in removing the tennis nets. Despite this handicap Bailey aud a friend played a game across an imaginary net although the caretaker warned them they could not play.
