AUSTRALIAN EMBARGO .MODIFIED (United PresH Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CANBERRA, 18th April. The Federal Cabinet to-day approved of a modification of the former embargo on New Zealand apples into Australia. In future, New Zealand apples from districts where fireblight does not exist may be imported into Australia, subject to close supervision and control at this end over importations. PORT VICTOR’S APPLES (Received 19th April, 10.f>f> a.m.) LONDON. 18th April. The Port Victor’s New Zealand apples realised—Coxs 11s to 14s; Jonathans 9s Gd to 11s fid; Dunns 8s Cd to 10s fid; Lord Wolseleys 8s; Eallarats 9s Cd to 11s Gd.
