MOTOR ACCIDENT
MAN SUFFERS BROKEN LEG
MOTOR CYCLE AND TRUCK COLLIDE
Mr Noel Moorhouse, of Brook street, was admitted to the Nelson Hospital this morning suffering a broken ieg and bruises, the result of a collision at tho intersection of Collingwood and Grove streets, between the motor cycle and side-car lie was driving and a City Council rubbish truck driven by Mr Henry Mansell, of Totara street. The accident occurred at about 11.30 o’clock when Moorhouse was proceeding along Collingwood street and the truck travelling westward along Grove street. The impact occurred practically in the middle of the intersection, the, rider of the cycle being tin-own some distance before lie struck the road. Moorhouse was attended hv Dr. W. D. S. Johnston and removed to the hospital in the ambulance.
The hospital reported this afternoon that Moorhouse’s condition was satisfactory. In addition to a broken leg lie received head injuries.
