MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED
RUNS INTO TRAIN

PALMERSTON N., This Day. A shoerung tragedy occurred at Kelvin Grove crossing this morning, when a motor cyclist, whose name is not yet known, ran into the north-bound Daylight Limited Express and was killed instantly. his body being frightfully mutilated. Apparently deceased sighted the train when 50 feet from the line. His brakes failed to arrest his momentum, and his cycle struck the engine, the rider being whirled round the wheels.
