ARAB FIREMAN STABBED
ARREST AT AUCKLAND (By Telegraph—Press Association' AUCKLAND, This Day. Bleeding profusely, an Arab fireman off the steamer Ilvington Court-, which was at Chelsea yesterday morning, rushed on to the boat and collapsed on the deck. A doctor was called and attended the wounds, which seemed to have been caused by a pocket knife. The injured man was removed to hospital. His condition is not serious. There was evidence of a fierce struggle near the wharf and marks of a knife on the handbar of the gangway. The police arrested a fireman on a charge of assault.
This morning at the Police Court Yahia Ahmid (28), another Arab fireman, was remanded till 7th instant, on a charge of causing actual bodily harm.
