GOODS SLASHED WITH RAZOR
SHOCK FOR DRAPER
(By Telegraph—Press Association)
AUCKLAND, 31st May. A suburban draper about 8 o’clock last night noticed an unusually large crowd outside his shop. Presently someone asked him why he was displaying worthless articles. He then discovered that a quantity of overcoats, trousers, pyjamas, etc., had been slashed to ribbons with a razor, the damage amounting to about £lO. There is no clue as to the perpetrator, who evidently worked at the busiest time of the evening.
