CHANNEL TUNNEL
DEFENCE OPPOSITION (United Presr Association—By Electrio Teleg-aph—Copyright! LONDON, 30th May. The Committee of Imperial Defence has again decided against the Channel tunnel. The Air Force particularly opposed it on the ground that it would mean additional strategic points to be guarded in »war time. Cabinet has the deciding voice, but the "Daily Herald's" lobbyist will not be surprised if the scheme is rejected.
