Mr Rentoul, chairman of the New Zealand Honey Producers' Board, has visited Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. He found that New Zealand honey was much appreciated, and taking first place over the local product. Sometimes New Zealand was preferred owing to reliable quality, but one Copenhagen firm asked if it was a fair deal to expect them to buy New Zealand honey while New Zealand put a prohibitive tariff on.
