• REV. 0. R. HEWLETT

, ... AUCKLAND, This Day. The .veteran Anglican minister, the Rev. Oswald Rousselle Hewlett, died at Bracken Avenue, Takapuna,.. yesterday after a brief illness. He was .75 years of, age. Mr Hewlett's earlier ministerial wprk was done as a curate, at Papakura, Onehunga, Opotiki, and again at Onehunga. He was appointed vicar of Papakura in 1896, and remained there until 1904, when he accepted the cure of Wakefield, in the Nelson diocese. In' 1913 he retired and-made a l 'home at Drury, but afterwards removed" to Takapuna", assisting the vicar there tically to the time of his death. Ho is survived by a wife, one son (Mr T. N.. Hewlett, of the staff of Belmont school) ! and three daughters—Mrs H. Faulkner, of Tapawera, Nelson, Miss M. E. Hewlett, of Victoria Valley, and Miss E. M. Hewlett, of Takapuna.
