RANGITIKEI'S GREAT RECOVERY IN HAWKE CUP j COMPILING A LARGE SCORE (By Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTQN N., This Day._ Rangitikei made a great recovery in the Hawke Cup match against Manawatli, and batted all yesterday for the loss of only four more wickets. The score at the close of the day's play was 5 wickets for 428—D. Cameron 160, Hodder 72, Burke not out 105. Cameron was in for four hours and the rate of scoring during the day was 2 per minute. Rangitikei are now 310 in the lead, with five wickets to fall. TO-DAY'S PLAY PALMERSTON N., This Day. In the Hawke Cup match which was resumed this morning Rangitikei continued the second innings. Two wickets were lost in quick succession; Burke 11!) being bowled by j Gallichan, and Collier, nil, bowled by Gallichan. i The score is 443 for seven wickets.
