AUCKLAND, This Day

The New Zealand Congregational Union resolved that the union is prepared to consider the question of an organised Church Union whenever the subject was reopened by sister denominations with a view to the formation of a United Church of New Zealand, similar to that in Canada, in the meantime. the union should consolidate and develop the Congregational Church of New Zealand. A deputation was received from the New Zealand Alliance and the support of the Congregational Church against the liquor Ira Hie was pledged by the chairman of the Assembly, the Rev. D. Lisle.
