MELBOURNE. 28th October

At Moonoe Valley, the Gold Cup, of one mile and three and a half furlongs, resulted —Xawallah, 7.9 (J. Daniels), ]'; Mondiaga, ti. 7 (P. Ilvnes), 2: Demost, (>.lO (W. Elliott), .‘l. Fourteen started. Yodelist, Black Duchess, Kalloni, Seventh Heaven and Nawallah were, prominent most of the way, with Bacchus tailed off. Mondiaga put in a claim rounding the turn but Nawallah cleared right away in the straight and won hv three lengths with a length and a half between second and third horses. Time, 2.35-j. Beppisou was fourth. W. S. Cox Plate, of one mile and a furlong and a Half. —Highland. 9.1, 1; Bamulus, 7.11, 2: Fourth Hand, 9.1, 3. Nine started. Ainounis and Winalot Were scarcely in the picture, while Prince ‘Humphrey finished last. Hamulus, Fourth Hand and Highland led right through. Bamulus entered the straight slightly in front of Fourth Eand, hut Highland, under pressure, forged to the front and won by a head. Fourth Hand, two lengths off, was third, then Winalot, Statesman, Oatendale. Time, 2.6|. Saiiit Albans Handicap, of four furlongs. —Sinetre, 8.0, 1; Mithras, 7.8, 2; St. Andrew, 8.2, 3. Seventeen started. Won by a head, a length and a lmlf between second and third.horses. Time, 52.1 See's.

JAZZ BABY UNPLACED

SYDNEY, 28th October

Jazz Baby, 9.4, was unplaced in the first division of the Flying’ Welter Handicap of six furlongs, at Moorefield. The race was won l>y Chryses, 8.9. Somnolent, 8.13, was second and Prometheus, 9.3, third .Eleven, started. Won-by a deck. Time, 1.17.

MELBOURNE, 28th October

Boseberry racing club stewards disqualified for six months the horse Irish Boy, his owner, H. .'Miller, and the wellknown jockey E. Henry. Formerly, Irish Boy raced under the name of North Logan at Randwick meetings.
