JOURNEY

United Press Association—By E(ectr:c Telegraph—Copyright Australian Press Association

(Received 2Sth October, 8.55 a.m.) LONDON, 28th October

A Caracas message says that Dr. Boiigrat, who escaped from Devil Island, has been rearrested. Interviewed, he stated that he escaped from the hospital with two companions and fled to the jungle, joining five others who had escaped five days earlier, and embarked in a small boat on a voyage of six days, during which there were several storms. They were thrown on the coast of British Guiana, where three days were spent in repairing the boat. Two days more sailing brought them to the Orinoco delta. Then the voyage became a perpetual fight against heavy seas in a leaky boat until they arrived miraculously at the coast of the Gulf of Pavia. (Venezuela), between Soro and Irapa, nearly dead, having been without food for four days and without water for thirty hours.
