PALMERSTON N., This Day, A suggestion that the • State should conduct lotteries for the purpose of relieving the burden of hospital and charitable aid taxation was discussed at a meeting of the Manawatu provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union, when.it was decided to recommend the Dominion, executive to take the matter up.
