AUCKLAND, This Day. Ihe latest development in connection with the Church ot England affairs at Hamilton has been the receipt of notice by the Rev. J. Rich, domestic chaplain arid curate at, Claudelands, from Bishop Cherringlon that his services as domestic chaplain would not be required after 30th April.

At. a largely attended meeting of churchmen a resolution was passed expressing concern at the Bishop of Waikato's action in suspending the Rev. F. T. Harvie, late vicar of St. Mary’s. New Plymouth, from the exercise of clerical duties in the Waikato diocese, and asking his Lordship wherein Mr Harvie had erred.
r Archdeacon Evans, who supported the Bishop, intimated tils intention of resigning his position as a result of the passing of the resolution.
