EXPORT FRUIT PRICES
INDIVIDUAL AVERAGE RETURNS INTERESTING FIGURES Interesting figures showing the net average individual prices obtained for export fruit last season were given- by Col. Gray, chairman of the Export Fruit Control Board, in the course of his address at Stoke last evening. Hie figures were: — _Worcester, 11s 'sd; Cox’s, 16s 3d; Dunns, 12s 7d; Jonathans, 13s Id; Delicious, 13s; _ London, 12s; King David, 12s 3d; Winesap, 13s; Adams Pearmain, 12s 3d; Cleopatra, 14s sd; Premier, 11s 6d; Wolseley, 12s Id; Alfriston, 12s 4d; Granny Smith, 21s 4d; Gravenstein, 11s 6d; Russet, 10s 9d; Stark 12s 9d; Newton, 14s 4d; Shepherd’s Perfection, 11s; W. Sharp, 12s 3d; Mack. Red, 13s sd; Senator* 13s 23; Hoover, 12s 2d; Spitzbergen, 12s 9d; Shoreland Queen, 11s 2d; Ribston, 10s 3d; Sturmer, 15s; Statesman, 15s 9d; Tasma, 15s 2d; Docherty, 16s 9d; Rokewood, 16s lid; Ballarat, 12s 8d; Rome Beauty, 16s 8d; Pioneer, 14s sd; Cambridge, 15s; Macmahons 11s lid; Symons Winter, 16s 7d; Salome, 17s lid; Lippiatt, 15s; G. The speaker also detailed the average net returns obtained by the various brokers, there being a difference of lid a case between the highest and the lowest, averaging from 14s lOd to 13s lid. The over-all average for the entire export was 14s id net c.i.f. in Great Britain, which he considered would make a net return to the grower of 4s 6d .to 5s in the orchard.
