New-laid eggs, quinces, and cape gooseberries in keen demand, Pumpkins dull. Current prices: Slurmers 4/6 to 8/-; Delicious 4/- to 7/-; Jonathans 47- to 6/6; cookers 4/- to 6/6. Pears: Winter Coles and Nelis 7/- to 11/- ; P. Barry’s 7/6 to 8/6; Keiffers 7/- to 8/6. Quinces 10/- to .12/-, all bushel cases. Cape gooseberries 5/6 t.o 6/- half case. Grapes 8d to 1/3 lb. Pumpkins, red 5/- to 8/-; grey and green 4/- to 6/-: pie melons 4/6 to 6/6 sack. Swedes 4/- cwt; new laid eggs 3/2. Storekeepers and chaff lines 3 j- ; preserved 2/2 dozen. Walnuts 8d per Jb.
