LONDON, Oct. 28.
Much discussion on the question whether Armistice Day should be celebrated only as a remembrance of the glorious dead or as a day of rejoicing for victory and peace is again to the fore. Karl Haig telegraphed to the Daily Express: “I recommend that Armistice Day he observed throughout the Empire its a day of remembrance. In the forenoon people of all ages should attend a thanksgiving service with it parade of veterans at the local memorial. In the afternoon games suited to the climate should be played. In the evening the people should rejoice according to taste."
