NELSON CLUB A tournament for evening players is being started on Thursday at 5.30. II is suggested that members shall do aide before commencement of play what form the competition shall take. Quite a number of names are already entered It. is intended to play each evening ex cept Saturday; entrance fee to provide special trophies. The greens will open all day Wednesday (play to commence at 10 o’clock; for members not going to the Show. MAITAI CLUB The first round of the full rinks com petition was played on Saturday, 22nc inst., with the following results: Lock wood 22 beat Ives 19; Penney 19 beai Johnson 11; Tunrficliffe 28 beat Frost 17; Simpson 19 beat Piper 17; A, Dec 27 beat Sherwood 18; Logan 21 beat; Whiting 15; Dunphy 19 beat W. Dec 18.
