TATJMARUNUI. This Day.

A sitting of the Land Deterioration Commission is being held here to-day, presided over by Mr G. H. Bullard. Commissioner of Crown Lands. Tht Commission is holding an enquiry regarding lands situated between Wanganui and Kawhai to the main trunk, covering a very large area. The com mission has a wide order or reference which embraces the causes of deterioration, size of holdings, means of restoring productivity, and the measure of help needed from the State to the settler. Evidence is now being heard.
