BOWLS
On the Nelson Club’s green on Saturday, afternoon tea was given by Mrs Mason, to whom the thanks of the club are due.
A request has been made to have grounds open on Sundays, so that visitors or townspeople can inspect. A special invitation has heen sent by the Secretary to the Oddfellows’ Conference, to spend an afternoon at the green during the week, and also for a howling match, against visitors. Afternoon tea will be provided and the day fixed on will be notified later.
