Tho Prince of Wales sent the following message to tho Board of the British Empire Exhibition :—“We must unite to make the Exhibition a success worthy of our race. I shall liopo to seo many friends from the Dominions and Colonies at Wembley in 1924.”

A fire at Victoria Wharf, Dartford, destroyed £50,000 worth of exhibits belonging to the exhibition branch of the Board of Trade, many of which woro intended to he shown at the British Empire Exhibition.
