Tile annual meeting of the Nelson Kennel Club was held at Air 11. F. West's office last evening. The president- (.Mr N. P. Adam sj occupied the chair, and there was a good aJ-tend.ancc of members.

The balance-sheet was presented by the secretary (Mr H. F. WcstJ, and adopted.

Tne following officers were elected : Patron, Mr S. Kirkpatrick ; president, Mr N. P. Adams; vice-presidents, Mesdames N. Adams. C. Campbell, an k l H. F. West. .Messrs T. RenVick, T. Usher. Dr. Andrew, A. G. Betts, H. R. Duncan, C. J. Harlcy. W. Rogers. S. C. Crisp, F. H. Dur'bridge, 11. B. Walker, and H. F. West; committee. Messrs C. Weblev, .J. Balck, R. Usher, H. Pike. G. Elliott, H. Oakley. A. K. Baxter. Walters, and T. Barrett ; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr A. F. Hreenslade ; hon. auditor. Mr. F. H. Bethwaite. Aftcr discussion it was resolved to hold a two days' .show, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Bt-h and 9th Scptem-ber. Mr P. Hunter ( Poranga ban) is to be asked what classes he is prepared to judge at the show. The management of the field trials helil in connection with the show was left in the hands ol Messrs Adams, Walker, and Palck.

Mr Naylor offered to paint several calico signs for the club, and the offer was accepted with thanks. Messrs Adams. Petts. and the secretary were appointed a committee to draft rules.

A letter was read from the New Zealand Kennel Association notifying that the Nelson Club had been allotted the championship classes for black cockers, any other colour cockers, bearded collies. Irish terriers, and Great Danes. The president, on behalf of the- club, then presented Mr and Mrs West with a handsome silver cake stand in recognition! of their services to the club. Members referred to the valuable work Mr West had done as secretary, and to the splendid assistance he had" received from: Mrs West. a Mr West suitably acknowledged the presentation. " A vote ot thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting.
