" • MARTON, Feb. 15 : " The Marton. A. and P. Association's ishow was Held to-day in boisterous weather on the-racecourse. The attendance'was very ; good, and the financial results' far exceed all expectations. On* *hd all -voted the show a big succes». Tife function was officially opened by th* Premier, who heartily congratulated the association and settlers ou their succes* The entries were large and * representative, and competition keen. To cattle- W. Birch secured all the North TJevon awards; T. McELenzie, Jerseyd> JVW. Bower and A. G. Simpson, Shorta horns. The most prominent in sheep were: Lincoln, -S- Coombes, G. X. Marshall; Romneys, J. W. Bowen. D. H. Kilgour took all the first in Border ' teiceaters, J. Dowthwaiio in Shropshares, G. L. Marshall in Corrjedales, A. ,JB". Fullerton-Smith in tat lambs and . export classes, F. L. Anderson in. farm- { ers' classes. Howard and Inglis, and J. "Wilson had a good exhibit of home industries and dairy produce. The jumping was a feature of the show, the en tries, being large, and the competition sf*eh; The maiden hunter*' competition v?a« won by P-. Taylor; open, J.
